Guests Entering Culver’s What Flavor Are You Today? Contest Could Win $1,000 Frozen Custard Treat Spree

Prairie du Sac, WI (June 7, 2007) -- Looking for a cool way to celebrate summer and make every day deliciously different? Culver’s® kicks off a What Flavor Are You Today? Contest June 21, with two tasty ways to enter and win:  guests can either express their flavor personalities on video or create their own customized original flavors. To inspire contestants and to celebrate the return of summer, Culver’s will give away complimentary samples of Culver’s local Flavor of the Day on June 21. This is Culver’s 3rd annual free sampling day.   

Guests can learn more about the What Flavor Are You Today? Contest and enter at myflavortoday.com for a chance to win a $1,000 Frozen Custard Treat Spree, to appear in a Culver’s TV commercial or to see their favorite flavor combination in Culver’s restaurants. No purchase is necessary to enter or win the What Flavor Are You Today? Contest or to enjoy Culver’s complimentary Flavor of the Day on June 21.  

  

“Culver’s has always had devoted fans of our fresh frozen custard that’s better than ice cream, and our What Flavor Are You Today? Contest is our opportunity to thank our guests and let them express their flavor personalities, show their creativity and win a cool prize,” said Chris Contino, Culver’s vice president of marketing. He added, “We often receive fun flavor combination suggestions from our guests and our own team members. These contests allow us to create a stronger relationship between Culver’s and the guest’s passion for frozen custard.” 

With more than 100 taste-tested Flavors of the Day served at Culver’s, topping today’s favorite flavors won’t be easy, but Culver’s is confident custard cravers and summer snackers will be up to the challenge. After all, there are over 1,000 ways to customize Culver’s frozen custard treats with more than 30 types of nut, fruit and candy toppings.

Guests confident they won’t be licked in the What Flavor Are You Today? Contest may submit their entries beginning June 21 through July 27 by completing an entry form on myflavortoday.com. Guests can create a video that tells Culver’s about how their favorite frozen custard flavor helps them celebrate an everyday occasion or reflects on their mood or personality, then upload their videos on YouTube. Or guests can enter Culver’s original flavor contest by choosing to build either a sundae or Concrete Mixer, selecting a favorite flavor of frozen custard and up to three toppings. After creating and naming the original flavor, complete an essay describing the choice of flavors and the occasion for enjoyment. 

Based on the originality and creativity of entries, a panel of judges including Culver’s co-founders Craig and Lea Culver will narrow the field to up to six original flavor entries and up to five video entries for an online voting phase. As a contest finalist, guests could win a chance to receive coupons for either 30 Sundaes or 30 Concrete Mixers courtesy of Culver’s.

Once contest finalists are selected, a two-week voting phase to vote online for the best original flavor and video will begin Aug. 6 through Aug. 17 at myflavortoday.com. The video and original flavor receiving the most online votes will win. What Flavor Are You Today? Contest prize winners will be announced on Aug. 28. On Labor Day, Sept. 3, the winning original flavor entry will be served at participating Culver’s restaurants.
