The free gas event kicked off a national PayDay Bar and Skor Bar “Cash 4 Gas” promotion – an on-pack, instant-win game giving motorists the chance to win cash for gas.

Chicago-area drivers scored the ultimate fill-up today, as PayDay and Skor brands surprised 380 7-Eleven customers with more than 5,000 gallons of free gasoline in just two hours.

Participants waiting to receive free gasoline from The Hershey Company received another sweet treat – free PayDay and Skor Bars. Specially marked PayDay and Skor Bars featuring the "Cash 4 Gas" instant-win promotion will be available through December 2008.

Though the national average cost of gasoline stands at $4.08 per gallon*, lucky Chicago-area drivers paid $0.00 today as The Hershey Company's PayDay and Skor brands gave away free gasoline for two hours in the Chicagoland area.
