Jonathan Boxman, Chairman of The Titledge Group, and myClosingSPACE.com president, Gregory Schmidt, made the announcement last week.  Both explained the acquisition is the natural marriage of two title innovators.

“With Titledge’s dedicated production and technology service operations, we can now keep everything in-house.  It’s consistent with our mission to providing transparent operations,” stated Schmidt.

MyClosingSPACE.com opened its digital doors in 2006, testing its innovative online title insurance and closing services concept in New Jersey and Florida.  After expanding into New York and Pennsylvania six months later, the company recently expanded nationwide.  It offers consumers, attorneys, lenders, and realtors the ability to get instant quotes on title insurance and closing services, online order and document management capability, and dedicated customer service personnel.

The Titledge Group has been in existence since 1994, evolving from a single-state agency into a group of title insurance service companies, which include: Titledge Insurance Company, a New York title insurance underwriter, Titledge Production Services, and Titledge Technology, a provider of technology-based services to the title insurance industry.
