November 15, 2007

Boston, MA: Skycore LLC, developers of Cellyspace, (www.cellyspace.com) has today launched what it believes to be is the world's first online, integrated, self-service ringtone composer with mobile multimedia messaging (MMS) and publishing tool set. Undiscovered indie bands, rappers, solo musicians, artists, comedians, creative consumers or teenage garage bands looking to impress their friends at school can now create, send and publish their ringtones directly using Cellyspace online tools. They can also create their own online, mobile messaging and publishing campaigns to send fun or promotional multimedia to fans & friends.

Mega-band ringtones are commonplace in pop culture, often promoted in concerts or TV commercials. Viewers are asked to text a meaningful "keyword" to a shortened phone number (called shortcodes) from their mobile phones to receive content. Now any musician can instantly create and publish their own ringtones and choose their own, unique keyword to promote and deliver their ringtones through Cellyspace's platform.

There is no software required to buy or download. The entire process is simple: log onto www.cellyspace.com; upload a music file; crop specific content; save it; send it to yourself to test; create a unique keyword; and then choose the price to be no charge or premium. Musicians can promote their keywords at concerts, in print, on radio and TV or simply tell their family, friends and social networks to spread the word. They can also use the online publishing tools to put their ringtones on their website or social networks such as Myspace or Facebook.

The composing, storing and publishing tools are free. Published ringtones are revenue-shared based on the $1.99 premium charged to a fan's phone for delivery. A musician can also offer ringtones for no change to fans, using 25 cents of their Cellyspace credits to deliver. In both cases, the fan's service provider's standard rates apply.
