Rochester, NY – RE/MAX  of New York, Inc. BALLOON MANOR 2007: Elastic Park, the World's First-Ever Balloon Scream Park located at Medley Centre (former Irondequoit Mall) closed at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, and is now for sale through Tuesday, October 30 at 5 p.m. Several of its balloon creatures were auctioned on eBay, but now the ten-room, 10,000-square-foot, walk-through haunted house made entirely out of 100,000 balloons is listed for sale ($5,000 or B/O) by RE/MAX of New York, Inc. at www.remax-ny.com, as well as at www.balloonmanor.com/auction.php.

Although the chances of anyone wanting to buy the entire Manor are slim, the purchase price would go to the four local health charities already benefiting from the annual sc-airy fundraiser: Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital, Teens Living with Cancer, Al Sigl Center, and Golisano Children’s Hospital (through Children’s Miracle Network, a RE/MAX International official charity.)

“You never know,” says the Manor’s creator, Rochester “airigamist” Larry Moss. “There may be a philanthropist out there with a ‘twisted’ sense of humor!”

Background: This is the third Balloon Manor, all of which were built by more than 60 balloon artists from around the world (this year’s crew included artists from Israel, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and the U.K.) and about 200 community volunteers. Due to its temporary medium, Manor are built in just six days and last for only eight. Balloon Manors 2004 & 2006 donated more than $60,000 to charity.
